How It Works
Your solar panels generate electricity during the day. Your home uses that electricity first. When your system produces more than the home is using, the excess may be exported through the approved grid connection and metering arrangement, subject to current program rules and approvals. At night or when solar production is low, your home continues to draw power from the grid.
